Valisere

Here are a couple of ads from the French lingerie company Valisere.  The brand Valisere was launched by Madame August Perrin and her sons Paul and Férréol way back in 1913 in the town of Val-d'Isère, southeast France.  Originally the company manufactured leather gloves but soon switched to lingerie production in 1919.  Despite having a lean time during the war years, Valisere grew to having 9 factories in France by 1975, employing 1200 people.  Eventually, in 1991, the Valisere brand was taken over by Triumph International where the name is still very much a byword for exquisite lingerie.
